Physie (Physical Culture) is a unique combination of dance, strength, flexibility, musicality and performance. It builds confidence, discipline, coordination and resilience for dancers of all ages.
Competition is optional, however we do encourage students to work towards competition as it helps build confidence, resilience, goal-setting and stage presence.
Students may compete individually, dancing against up to 14 girls of a similar age, all performing the same APDA syllabus and judged using APDA’s unique physie-specific judging system.
There is also the option to join a team competition, made up of 6 girls working together to achieve identical timing and strong formations.
Students are also welcome to dance for fun, fitness, and confidence, with no competition required. We also offer an annual in-house stage performance, which is not judged and allows all students to experience dancing on stage.
Not at all. Our classes are designed for every level. From first-timers to experienced dancers. Everyone is welcomed, supported and encouraged from day one.
